CCO – Visit from Cégep de Sorel-Tracy students

On October 18, under the supervision of our Contrecoeur-Ouest team, some twenty first-year students from the Cégep de Sorel-Tracy’s Electrical Engineering Technology program visited all the facilities at the western complex.

Accompanied by Jordan Sauriol – LCO Electrical Coordinator, Samuel Blais – LCO Electrical CPI and Hubert Gauthier – Electrician, they visited the rod mill, followed by a tour of the steel mill with Kossi-Elom Tengue, ACO Electrical CPI and Étienne Pelletier, ACO Electrical CPI.

After the tours, a pizza lunch was served in the company of the tour guides and the two Complex managers, Patrick Lechasseur and Philippe Carbonneau. It was an excellent opportunity to share and discuss career opportunities, benefits, challenges and processes at ArcelorMittal Long Products Canada’s two plants.

All in all, a great exchange between the participants and our team.
