CCE – Cégep de Granby Students Visit Wire Rod Mill
On October 8, the wire rod mill team at the Contrecoeur-Est plant welcomed visitors over for breakfast. Accompanied by Gabriel Leblanc, Étienne Fortier, Marc-André Pronkin, Samuel Leclerc, Jérôme Charron, Andréanne Masse-Roy, Émilie Savard, and Karine Raiche, the 13 third-year electrical engineering students from Cégep de Granby visited the mill and discussed machine safety.
Machines are associated with a variety of hazards, including the energy they use and the movement of their different parts. At ArcelorMittal Long Products Canada, it goes without saying that ensuring machine safety is essential to eliminating or controlling the hazards associated with these elements.
It’s always a pleasure to create enriching exchanges between students and our teams. We’re proud to contribute to the education and inspiration of the next generation by sharing our expertise and connecting with the industry’s future talents.
Thank you to all participants for a memorable morning!
